Snohomish Wedding at Lord Hill Farms
Lord Hill Farms, located just north of Seattle in Snohomish, is famously known as the hub of farm and garden weddings in the Pacific Northwest.
Heather and Adrian’s summer wedding at Lord Hill Farms was one of the most enjoyable weddings I have photographed. Having previously photographed weddings for nearly all of Heather’s bridesmaids, I felt a wonderful sense of connection. It was heartwarming to catch up with past couples and hear how much they cherished their wedding photos.
The day was moody and atmospheric due to nearby forest fires, which created a hazy, smoky backdrop. The sun appeared as a striking blood orange, casting a spectacular glow over the ceremony.
Heather and Adrian honored their Norwegian heritage by reciting part of their vows in Norwegian and serving Kransekake, a traditional Norwegian celebration cake. This tower of concentric rings added a special cultural touch to their celebration.
The reception turned into a lively dance party, full of energy and joy. There was a memorable moment when a guest accidentally spilled red wine on Heather’s dress. Thankfully, the wedding planner quickly came to the rescue and managed to clean it up, saving the day.
