Seattle waterfront Wedding venue: ray’s boathouse
In mid-summer, Seattle is a paradise, no doubt about it! And what better place to tie the knot than at Ray’s Boathouse venue on the Seattle waterfront? Located in the Ballard neighborhood, this premier restaurant has been serving up the finest seafood in the Pacific Northwest since the 1970s. With its spectacular waterfront view of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains, dining here is truly a treat.
Wedding at Seattle’s waterfront
Most of the wedding guests were from out of town and had a prime view of the breathtaking waterfront scenery from the Ray’s Boathouse pier during the ceremony. They were also treated to the perfect Seattle sunset over the Olympic Mountains.
Wedding Design
Liz & James wanted to incorporate elements of the water and their waterfront venue along with nods to the Pacific Northwest and an Art Deco vibe. Their wedding featured soft & muted tones of green, blue, and neutrals with plenty of texture.
The bridesmaid dresses were absolutely stunning! They were all long, but each had a different style, all in soft muted tones that complemented the venue and decor perfectly. The colors reflected shades of water, sunrise, or sunset, making them one of my favorite bridesmaids looks.
Liz’s dress had a simple silhouette but was adorned with an incredible beaded design.

The bouquets were elegantly understated, featuring a single, striking focal bloom: the king protea. They were accented with filler and small blooms, creating a beautiful texture that harmonized with the flowing and simple dresses worn by the bridesmaids.
Seattle wedding Portraits
I had this spur-of-the-moment idea to whisk the whole wedding crew off to Seattle’s Discovery Park for some epic bride & groom and bridal party portraits. Liz and James were all about soaking up those Seattle and Pacific Northwest vibes in their wedding photos. And let me tell you, it was one heck of an adventure! We traipsed through the park, capturing candid moments and breathtaking views that perfectly captured the essence of their special day. It was spontaneous and a blast for everyone.
