Issaquah Fall Senior Portraits
As the vibrant colors of fall enveloped Issaquah, I had the pleasure of photographing Alex, a senior at Issaquah High School. Issaquah is just short 30-minute drive east of Seattle. The crisp autumn air and the stunning backdrop of fiery reds, oranges, and yellows at the Lake Sammamish State Park Boat Launch made for an ideal setting to capture this special moment in Alex’s life as she graduates from high school to adulthood.
Breaking the Ice for the Senior Portrait Photo Shoot
Alex started the session a bit shy, which is completely normal. Truth be told, I’m often nervous too at the beginning of every photo session. I always aim to create a comfortable and relaxed environment, especially when my clients are feeling a bit nervous. We began with some simple poses to help Alex get used to the camera. As we moved through the shoot, Alex’s confidence grew, and her natural personality began to shine through.
Fall Colors in the Pacific Northwest
Fall in Issaquah is nothing short of magical. We chose a beautiful outdoor location on the shores of Lake Sammamish that highlighted the best of the season’s colors. The leaves on the trees were in full splendor, creating a breathtaking backdrop for Alex’s photos. From standing amidst a cascade of falling leaves to sitting on a rustic fence with the forest behind her, each shot captured the essence of autumn and Alex’s unique style.
One of my favorite parts of this shoot was capturing Alex’s genuine smiles and candid moments. As she became more comfortable, we were able to incorporate more playful and spontaneous poses. Whether she was laughing at a joke or simply enjoying the serene environment, these candid shots truly reflected her personality and the joy of this milestone moment.
Senior Portraits are Totally Worth the Investment
The final images from Alex’s senior photo shoot are a beautiful blend of her individual style and the natural beauty of Issaquah in the fall. These photos will not only serve as a keepsake for Alex and her family but also as a reminder of this special time in her life as she prepares to embark on new adventures after high school.
