Senior Portraits at Seattle’s Lake Union
I recently had the opportunity to photograph Dylan, a senior from Lakeside High School in Seattle. Dylan is not only focused on his academics but also an avid rower with Lake Union Crew. When planning his senior photo session, we knew we wanted to capture the essence of who he is, so we chose the Lake Union Crew House as the perfect location.
We started the shoot with Dylan in a classic suit, setting a formal tone against the backdrop of the iconic Lake Union. The sharp lines of his suit contrasted beautifully with the natural scenery, giving his portraits a timeless and sophisticated feel.
After the formal shots, Dylan changed into a more casual outfit, which allowed us to capture a relaxed and fun side of his personality. This transition also showcased the versatility of senior portraits—no matter the style, it’s all about expressing who you are.
The highlight of the session came when Dylan changed into his rowing attire. As we moved to the dock, he prepped his boat and rowed out onto the water. We captured action shots of him doing what he loves most: rowing with the stunning Seattle skyline and Gasworks Park in the background. These photos perfectly reflected Dylan’s dedication and passion for his sport, making them a unique part of his senior portrait collection.
