Chateau Lill Wedding
Chateau Lill in Woodinville, Washington is one of my favorites venues for photographing weddings and celebrations. Woodinville, known as Woodinville Wine Country, is just a 30-minute drive from Seattle and features renowned wineries in Washington State, making it a sought-after spot for weddings in the Pacific Northwest.
Kylie and Reed’s summer wedding at Chateau Lill was incredibly moving and beautiful. When the day finally arrived, it felt like a heartwarming family reunion. Many family members hadn’t seen each other in over a year, so witnessing their joy after months of quarantine was truly touching.
What Makes Chateau Lill Wedding in Woodinville so Special
Emotional Moments: There were tears of joy everywhere, and as a wedding photographer, I live to capture those precious emotions. I was almost overwhelmed trying to capture every moment unfolding around me.
Recognition for Frontline Work: Kylie and Reed are nurses. During the ceremony, they were honored for their frontline efforts in caring for patients during the pandemic.
Adorable Nephews: Kylie’s nephews stole the show when they made their entrance on a wagon during the ceremony. Fun Fact: I also photographed Kylie’s sister’s wedding at Maryhill Winery in Woodville.
Vintage Getaway Car: A family friend brought their vintage car to the wedding. It was the perfect getaway car for the newlyweds.
The Party: After a year of quarantine, everyone was ready to let loose and have a good time. I even found myself on the dance floor.
And finally, Kylie & Reed: They are such good humans. Being the caring nurses they are, they treated me like an old friend throughout the day, making sure I was taken care of. Building connections with couples like them inspires me to work even harder to capture every moment of their special day.
4 Reasons to Choose Chateau Lill as Your Wedding Venue
Simply Beautiful: Chateau Lill is simply beautiful and very photogenic. The vibe is elegant and classy. The French-inspired architecture, the vineyard, a sweet pond, and immaculate grounds are the ideal backdrops for an elegant wedding.
Alpacas and Goats: Chateau Lill also has a charming farm with the most adorable goats and Alpacas. As a animal lover, I love incorporating them into my photos. Unfortunately, they were sleeping in their pens during the bride and groom portrait session.
Guest Experience: Your guests will be in for a treat. They can enjoy cocktails while standing next to the pond, explore the expansive vineyard and lawns, and dine under the outdoor tent. It’s also perfect for out-of-town guests. They also sample the best Woodinville wineries the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Beautiful Photography Opportunities: I would be remiss not to mention photography. Your wedding photographer will have plenty of stunning backdrops to work with, capturing both the beauty of your wedding and the property.
3 Helpful Tips When Considering Chateau Lill as Your Wedding Venue
Ceremony Area Lighting: Be mindful of dappled light streaming through the trees in the ceremony area on a bright sunny day. Coordinate with your photographer and officiant to ensure optimal positioning, avoiding direct light on your faces for those picture-perfect altar moments.
Altar Flower Decoration: For the altar, opt for flowers with vibrant colors. A color palette dominated by green might blend into the green background and won’t stand out well for guests or in photos.
Bring a Fan: The bridal and groom prep areas on-site can get quite warm since there’s no air conditioning. It’s a good idea to bring along a portable fan to stay cool.
