About Seattle Yacht Club

Seattle Yacht Club venue is located on Seattle’s Portage Bay in the Montlake neighborhood near the University of Washington. It is a boating organization best known for its sailing community and club offering that includes sailing regattas, cruising, and social events.

The clubhouse provides views of the water offering members access to gatherings and celebration. dinning, meeting spaces. It’s also fabulous Seattle waterfront wedding venue.

Wedding at Seattle Yacht Club

Angela and Connor hosted their wedding at the Seattle Yacht Club, welcoming mostly out-of-town guests. Both healthcare professionals living out-of-state, Angela is originally from Seattle, while Connor is from the Midwest. They chose Seattle for their wedding to showcase the city’s natural beauty.

Guests enjoyed the stunning Seattle waterfront setting of the Seattle Yacht Club during the cocktail hour and ceremony, making the celebration truly memorable.

Angela and Conner held their first look at West Montlake Park which is located on the Lake Washington waterfront. They were greeted with celebratory cheers and boat horns of the passing boaters during their first look.

We also took advantage of beautiful Mountlake neighborhood with vintage homes and tall trees as the backdrop for couple, bridal party, and family portraits.

Wedding Photography at Seattle Yacht Club

As a Seattle Wedding Photographer, I feel privileged to have access to photograph so many beautiful settings across the Pacific Northwest. Seattle Yacht Club did not disappoint. Spacious Property: Seattle Yacht Club has plenty of space for guests to spread out and enjoy themselves while exploring the grounds of the venue.
Photography: Bright sunny days offer little shade at Seattle Yacht Club wedding venue. This poses challenges for flattering portraits, especially during the ceremony, bride & groom, wedding party, and family portraits. Hiring an experienced wedding photographer who can handle these lighting conditions is crucial. Additionally, during summer months, the grass will look brown and dry.
Flexibility: Seattle Yacht Club offers flexibility in terms of event size and layout, making it suitable for various wedding styles and themes. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, it can accommodate your vision.
Membership: A club membership is required to hold private events at Seattle Yacht Club.
