High School Senior Portraits
I recently had the pleasure of capturing stunning senior portraits of Claire at a beautiful horse barn in Redmond, WA. This unique location provided a perfect backdrop for a personalized photo shoot that I’m excited to share.
The Unique Setting
Claire attended Skyline high school and wanted to personalize her senior photos with something that was uniquely hers. She wanted to mark this chapter by featuring her horse, Barny. We drove to just outside of Redmond to the horse barn where was Barny was boarded. I overjoyed that the barn setting was super photogenic with lots of backdrops to work with it: from weathered wooden stables to open fields and lush greenery.
The barn’s serene environment complemented Claire’s love for horses and the outdoors, making it an ideal spot for her senior portraits.
The Photo Shoot
Our session began in the late afternoon, allowing us to take advantage of the soft, warm, golden light of the setting summer sun. This time of day is perfect for senior portraits, as it adds a warm, natural glow to the photos. As Claire settled into the senior photo shoot, she became more relaxed and confident. She felt right at home at the horse barn, and it was evident in every shot.
We started with some classic portraits near the barn, using the textured wood and charming details as a backdrop. These photos had a timeless quality, perfect for showcasing her personality and style. Next, we moved to the open fields, where she posed with her beloved Barny. These shots were incredibly special, highlighting the bond between them and creating a sense of freedom and adventure.
The Final Images
The final images from this shoot are a beautiful blend of natural beauty and personal expression. From close-up portraits capturing her joyful smile to wider shots showing the expansive fields and the playful Barny, each photo tells a unique part of who Claire is. These images will mark this chapter in life, and I’m truly honored to capture it for Claire and her family.
